Arena Tier List

CVH’s Arena Tier List is a great tool to assist with Arena picks for The Elder Scrolls: Legends. The cards are sorted by color and relative power level, so if you’re unsure on your next pick in a draft, simply look for the cards and compare where they fall on the sheet. Before you begin, though, there are a couple things to note:

  • This is a constant work in progress. Though years of playing card games and theorizing about the cards has aided the analysis, this document will undoubtedly go over numerous updates both as cards are added and as we play more with the cards currently available in the Arena.
  • It isn’t always advisable to pick whatever card is ranked higher on the Tier List; frequently, the opposite is correct. Think about your magicka curve and synergies. These are things the Tier List doesn’t have access to, although it can make some choices easier.

It is also worth mentioning that while the cards are sorted by relative power level, there is no additional sorting within the categories themselves. A card listed higher than another in the “good” category, for example, isn’t necessarily better. It could very well be, but a ranking system that detailed seems not only tedious but inaccurate since there is so much variance from Arena deck to Arena deck. Close picks should come down what you think your deck needs!

An asterisk next to the card’s name indicates that its value could go up (perhaps by a significant amount) in a deck either drafted with it in mind or with certain cards/synergies already present. For example, a card that gets a bonus when equipped with an Item could turn from an average pick to an excellent pick in a deck with enough Items.

In addition to the tier list, feel free to check out “The Orrery” By ZyzzvaProject, a spreadsheet regarding statistics for arena curves.

I hope you find this helpful, and stay tuned to its updates in the future!
